Publish an Assistant

A Publication freezes the current Assistant configuration. The live widget reads the active Publication instead of the draft.

Prepare the publication

1. Test the draft in Preview.
2. Confirm that required Knowledge Sources are ready.
3. Test matching and non-matching Flow messages.
4. Test Help Desk and authentication paths when enabled.
5. Open Publish.

Configure allowed domains

Add each website origin that can embed the Assistant. Use the exact scheme and host that the browser sends.

Do not add a broad domain when only one application needs the widget.

Create the Publication

1. Select Publish.
2. Confirm the publication action.
3. Copy the embed code.
4. Add the code to an allowed website.
5. Open the website in a private browser session.
6. Send one test message.

Later draft changes do not modify this Publication. Publish again to create and activate a new immutable snapshot.

Restore a publication

Select an earlier Publication when you must restore its configuration. The restore action makes that immutable version active again.

Unpublish

Use Unpublish to take the widget configuration offline. Existing embed code cannot load an active Assistant after the operation.
