Goals
Schedule repeatable checks for important Assistant answers.
A Goal asks a standing question and checks the answer against deterministic expectations. A failing Goal creates an Alert.
Create a Goal
- Open an Assistant.
- Select Goals.
- Select Create Goal.
- Enter the question that Ciele must ask.
- Add one or more expectations.
- Save the Goal.
Available expectations
| Expectation | Check |
|---|---|
| Must cite a source | The answer contains at least one Source citation. |
| Cited URL contains | A cited URL contains the configured text. |
| Answer contains | The answer contains each configured text fragment. |
| Non-fallback answer | The runtime did not return its fallback result. |
Ciele always checks for a non-fallback answer. Other expectations depend on the Goal configuration.
Goal status
An active Goal runs on its schedule. Ciele can quarantine a Goal after repeated execution problems.
A quarantined Goal does not continue its normal schedule. Review the Goal and its Alert before you activate it again.
Review a failure
- Open Alerts.
- Select the Goal failure.
- Review the answer and the failed expectation.
- Correct the Knowledge, Flow, or Goal.
- Run the Goal again.
Goals use exact checks. They do not use an open-ended model grader.
